Summer is a hot and flashing season. Both women and men love to strut their stuff and pare down in deference to the hot season. We heard enough about women’s stories, for that’s what matters the most a lot of the time---beautiful and intelligent women make this world bearable and oh so colorful for both men and women. How about men? If you say “Women are going to take over the world”, I would wholeheartedly believe it if we women would take over the world not driving a car, maybe it'd be by walking? My punch line is that: never underestimate men’s caliber if we really set out, in our minds, to take over, don’t believe it? Check out the Vintage Grand Prix here every July in Pittsburgh.
It’s a multi-day events where all the antique cars, well-maintained by their owners, gather and can be appreciated by people from different walks of life. They would also have a race around Schenley park and drive around across the town. You don’t need to comment on the car, the owner firmly believes the way you look at it and the way you are attracted and surprised by it have already paid the highest complementary to the car and himself.
On July 21, 2012. I passed through those cars with much ignorance that I am most regretful of today. Next year, I would try to stay on longer and ask more questions, maybe even have a ride in those fancy cars. It’s on such a day, I gained the enlightenment that Men have eyes on really good stuff, and then you would also discover the value of that stuff keep going up over time. While women can’t keep their hands off buying nice-looking stuff-like clothes- and hoard them, then most of them would end up in Goodwill or another high-end thrift store, and you are never able to get the paid price back by selling it, such as jewelry. (Yeah?, if you believe that jewelry is an asset that one day can be monetized? Try to sell it first!)
Maybe, I just found the clue why men are still dominating the world while we women are still trying so hard to take care of their stomachs and do their laundry.
